Brett M. Hastings joined our firm after working for more than five years in the business department of a large downtown St. Louis law firm. Brett practices in the Business and Personal Services Group. His area of expertise includes contracts, real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance. Brett regularly counsels school districts and commercial enterprises regarding land acquisition, land use, development and construction, tenant/landlord issues and related contracts. Brett also has extensive experience advising clients with respect to legal and business concerns encountered at all stages of a company's development, including negotiating, structuring and drafting business acquisition or divestiture agreements, commercial contracts, buy-sell agreements, corporation, limited liability company and partnership formation documents, financing agreements and other business related documents and agreements. Additionally, he has significant experience preparing disclosure documents for public and private equity offerings and various SEC periodic reports, shareholder reports and proxies. Brett is licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois.
